My Story

Here I am writing a piece about myself to hopefully inspire others to share their own stories. For me, my main drive for building a better world is how frustrated I get when I see how certain people get treated. People should treat each other with respect and dignity no matter the background. It doesn’t end there; individuals should also care for our home – the earth.

I don’t want people to lose hope. This is one of the main reasons I applied to be an Ambassador for One Young World The Hague. I want to be part of making this world a better place, and doing that together with more than 1000 young professionals seemed like the best place to start. Being surrounded by so many talented and inspiring people was one of the best experiences of my life.

The Hague is special to me because it is the place that gave me this amazing opportunity. For next year, I hope to meet many more talented and inspiring young people. And I hope to empower them by giving them strength in believing in themselves. I believe we all have insecurities. But we shouldn’t let those insecurities stop us! Because when we stand together, we are stronger, we are mightier, and we can make a positive change!

Three Must Things

1. Visit restaurant Juni for a good meal
2. The Urban Farmers in The Hague is really worth visiting. They have the biggest rooftop farm in Europe.
